Hexham Morrismen
During the 1990’s their reputation grew and they are now established as one of the best Cotswold Morris Dance teams in the North.
They have a small but lively Border morris repertoire, developed with help from their friends in Carlisle Morris. The side also perform a North East traditional short sword dance.
The Hexham Morrismen have friends from all over the Country and have had regular exchanges with teams from Crook (near Kendal), Norfolk (Kemps), Huddersfield (White Rose), Northampton, Carlisle, Shropshire (Bull & Pump, Shrewsbury Lasses).
During the winter months The Morrismen meet on Thursdays at 8pm in The Moot Hall, Hexham, and from mid May they can be seen dancing locally. (check the diary for times and places).
